STTPA, the Southern Truck and Tractor Pullers Association, LLC is owned by Brent and Cindy Adkins, long-time truck and tractor pullers. The Adkins' met at a tractor pull over 25 years ago and have continued with their love of the sport. Both Brent and Cindy ran 4x4 modified trucks for years - The Warrior, Uncle Big Bad and the much loved yellow mini-van "Mom's Grocery Getter". Currently, Cindy is driving the "Pullin' for the Cure" diesel powered 4x4 truck bringing awareness to a cause very near to all of our hearts - breast cancer research. Brent's turbine powered modified tractor "Sly, Slick and Wicked" continues to be a crowd pleaser.
Wanting to create a more level playing field for pullers in the southeast, in 2004, STPA was born and in 2008 STPA was changed over to STTPA, The Southern Truck and Tractor Pullers Association. While utilizing some of the more popular classes, 2 Wheel Drive Modified Trucks, Super Stock Tractors, Super Farm Tractors, and Modified Tractors. In 2007, STTPA added the Hot Farm as well as the Modified 4x4 Diesel Truck class - the hottest new class in pulling!!
STTPA has grown steadily over the last five years in our number of members and events. While we feel that "quality" is better than "quantity", we limit out total number of events to no more than 12 per season.
